Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment has the power to hear and decide requests for Variances and Exceptions from the regulations contained in the City’s Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 134 of City Code). It also considers Conditional Uses and appeals of any decision made by City Staff in the administration of the Zoning Ordinance. Any appeal of this Board’s decisions can only be considered in District Court.

General Requirements

GENDER BALANCE REQUIRED - Seven members: a majority of the members shall be persons representing the public at large, and shall not be involved in the business of purchasing or selling real estate (not more than 3 members).
