Welcome to the City of Des Moines EnerGov Customer Self Service 

Customer Self Service (CSS) is the public-facing part of our EnerGov permitting, inspection, and licensing software system, which was just recently deployed.

The system, a product of Tyler Technologies, replaces a very old system and we’re excited about all new features the new technology offers.  

Some of the functions will be made available immediately, others will be added over time as their development is complete.

CSS allows you to share in those benefits and can sometimes eliminate the need for a phone call or office visit when transacting business. There will be many things you can take care of via your computer or from a mobile device such as a tablet or smart phone.

Though any person may access public information in EnerGov, to make payments, submit permits requests, and conduct other business an account is required. When creating a CSS account, please use the email address you used when previously working with the City. For questions on how to set up an account, please review the CSS Account Setup user guide.
