City Council Meetings
The Des Moines City Council meetings are open to all Des Moines residents. They typically happen every other Monday and regularly start at 4:30 p.m. If you’d like to attend a meeting in person, they are held at:

How to Watch
You can watch City Council meetings virtually through DMTV online, Mediacom channel 7 (777 HD) and the City's YouTube page.
Agendas
The agendas for each meeting are published on the City's website by 4 p.m. on the Thursday preceding a City Council meeting.
Request to Speak
If you would like to speak at a City Council meeting, you can fill out the Request to Speak form online or fill out a printable form to mail in or put in the secure drop box outside of City Hall. The deadline for submitting your request is by 5 p.m. the Tuesday before the meeting.

Do you need special accommodations? We encourage participation from all Des Moines residents in City government and will happily assist those with disabilities.
