There will be multiple opportunities to participate in the ADAPT DSM climate action and adaptation planning process. If you’d like to be a Community Climate Ally and help spread the word when these opportunities become available, please email us.
Online Community Surveys
Community members will have two rounds of opportunities to share their climate action priorities and ideas through online surveys. The first survey will be available early June to July 2022; the second survey is anticipated to be available from September to October 2022. The surveys will be conducted via RDG's Social Pinpoint tool.
Our first community survey is now available:
Online Community Workshop
In mid-June 2022, community members attended an online workshop to learn more about the project and shared their experiences with climate change. If you're interested in additional workshops to involve more of our community, contact us to discuss opportunities.
Materials and results of workshop discussions will be published on the review webpage.
To ensure we are reaching key stakeholders, including communities who may be disproportionately impacted by climate change, our project team will be having focused conversations to understand climate change issues and opportunities and explore potential partnerships to support plan implementation. If you’d like to request a meeting or have the project team come present to your organization, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Pop Up Events
The project team and our engagement partners will be attending local events throughout summer 2022 to connect with and hear from community members. If you have an idea about a location or event, please contact us and we will work to make it happen!
We've created easy to use engagement toolkits for project stakeholders to help spread information about ADAPT DSM to their networks. These toolkits include project summaries and updates, social media posting templates and more. Use the resources below to help us reach a broader audience, especially those who are on the frontlines of climate change and often underrepresented in these types of planning processes. Please contact us to learn more about how you can use these toolkits and check back often for updates.
