Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization Program

The intent of the City of Des Moines Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization (“NCR”) program is to promote reinvestment in existing buildings primarily in neighborhood commercial nodes and corridors across the city. Grants awarded by the City of Des Moines pursuant to this program will provide financial assistance to property owners and businesses in the renovation and upgrade of commercial, office, and mixed-use properties.

See program documents below.

**Please note - A Pre-Application meeting is advised unless a determination is made by the Director of Development Services or a designee that one would not be necessary. This is typically dependent upon the scale of the proposed project and history of building permits for the property. Click here for the Pre-Application Conference Request Form. If you have questions about this process, or to understand if your project is appropriate for a Pre-Application Conference, please contact: Katie Hernandez, (515) 283-4016,
