SPM Summary of Benefits

 SPM Health Insurance

The Mayor and City Council Members contribute 10% of the applicable premium. Appointed officials (City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk) contribute 15% of the applicable premium. Department Directors contribute 11% of the monthly single premium and 14% of the monthly family premium.  Non-directors contribute 8% of the applicable premium.

  • Additional 1 or 2x annual base pay and spouse and dependent coverage options are available.

Long Term Disability

  • 90 day wait, 66 2/3 benefit, $6,000 max per month

 Deferred Comp Plan

  • 457 deferred compensation plan with 2.5% City match
