Commemorative Bridge Plaques



Commemorative plaques are now available for $200 each on three bridges and proceeds support local causes:
  • Chris and Marcie Coleman Bridge (Youth Recreational Scholarship Program)
  • Riverview Park Bridge (Riverview Park Operations)
  • SW 5th Street Bridge (Des Moines Trail System)
Here's how it works:
  1. Choose which bridge you would like your plaque to be installed on.  Click here to place your order online. Payment is required when the order is placed.   
  2. Your custom text will be reviewed by staff.  Names and dates only. Two lines per plaque. Please allow 2 to 4 business days for approval.  
  3. Once approved, you be emailed a confirmation. If your submitted text is not a approved a full refund will be issued. 
  4. Plaques will be installed on a quarterly basis (See schedule below.)  These groups will include any combination of locations, not just limited to a single bridge.
  5. You will receive notice once your plaque is installed with its location so that you will be able to easily find it.
