 YOUTH MUSIC SHOWCASE

The City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation along with the Des Moines Music Coalition will be hosting the Youth Music Showcase at Captain Roy's (adjacent to Birdland Marina) on Saturday, May 11th on the outdoor stage from 1-5pm. This is a unique opportunity for bands or performers of any musical genre who are or whose members are mostly, if not all, 18 years of age or younger. A band must be registered by an adult sponsor and answer a few questions about contact information, number of members, style of music, etc. A sample of the bands musicianship will be required to help members of the Des Moines Music Coalition assemble the lineup for the performance. Bands will be contacted approximately two weeks prior to the show to confirm their commitment and finalized details regarding performance times, amount of songs, other special situations, and more.
