Recycling Collection Schedule to Change for Some Des Moines Residents

Recycling change letterDES MOINES, IOWA – Thursday, October 29, 2020 – The City of Des Moines Public Works Department recently completed an analysis of their recycling collection routes. To improve recycling collection services and increase efficiency, some residents are going to see a change in their collection schedule.

Beginning in November, about 1,500 homes will have their collection week changed from yellow to orange and vice versa. The recycling day will remain the same. If you have questions or require additional information, call (515) 283-4950 or visit DSM.city/recycling. You can confirm your collection week and day by visiting showmemyhouse.DSM.city starting on Monday, November 2.
