DES MOINES, IOWA – Monday, April 15, 2019 – The City of Des Moines website has been upgraded to improve the online experience for residents, business owners and visitors looking for information on city services. The last major upgrade for the City’s website was in 2010.
The new website is designed to help make it easier to find, access and share City information, news and events with the following features:
- Resident-focused navigation to help residents quickly access the city information and services they’re looking for
- Clear language to help make online City information easier to understand
- Improved search functionality powered by Google
- Mobile-friendly responsive design to help ensure the website is accessible on devices of all sizes
- Automatic language translations to better serve residents of all dialects
I am excited for our residents to have access to the City's new website. An incredible amount of work has gone into the project to assure the new website is innovative and resident focused. This improved tool will help all residents better understand the resources of the City which will correlate to an efficient delivery of services.— Scott Sanders, City Manager
With these changes, the new and improved City website also has a new web address: DSM.city
A guided tour of the new website is available to help residents explore the new features, layout and navigation. Visitors to the new City website are encouraged to email their feedback to email@example.com to help continuously improve the new website.
