Iowa DOT - US 69 Location Study - Public Scoping and Visioning Workshop

US Highway 69DES MOINES, IOWA - Monday, April 29, 2019 - 
The Iowa Department of Transportation is conducting a location study to identify and recommend safety and operational improvements to specific areas that will improve the overall Des Moines US 69 corridor and surrounding areas.

The Iowa DOT will be hosting a Public Scoping and Visioning Workshop to obtain input from the public:

*No formal presentation will be made. You may attend any time during this meeting.

The US 69 study area is located within Polk County and encompasses an approximately 10-mile corridor that begins immediately north of County Line Road and extends north to Interstates 80 and 35. This study will evaluate existing and future multimodal operations as well as safety and reliability. Focused, concept-level projects to specific areas along the corridor will be identified. These projects will balance needs and improve safety for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users.
