Fan and Air Conditioner Donations Needed

DES MOINES, IOWA – Monday, July 11, 2022 – With summer’s heat in full swing, residents are encouraged to help those in need by donating new fans or air conditioners at any Des Moines fire station.  Through the IMPACT Community Action Partnership, the annual fan donation program seeks to help low-income families who have no working fans or air conditioners in their homes.

Those who would like to help may donate new fans or new window unit air conditioners at any City of Des Moines fire station (listed below) during normal business hours.  Donations will then be taken to IMPACT’s offices for distribution.

  • Station 10—5900 E. Indianola Ave.
