Al Setka Hired as Communications Manager
DES MOINES, IOWA — Wednesday, May 22, 2019 —The City of Des Moines announced today that Al Setka has been named communications manager in the Public Information Office.
Over the past 30 years, Setka has served in leadership roles for a variety of organizations in Des Moines – news director at WHO-TV, public relations director at a full-service marketing agency, communications director for a world-class scientific research and conservation center, and consultant and trainer at a nationally-recognized strategic communications firm.
“Al brings a wealth of experience that will drive invaluable improvements to the City’s communications efforts,” said Jen Schulte, director of government relations and communications. “His role will help us achieve our goal of being a high performing city organization by providing exceptional communication and continuous improvement.”
